Former India head coach Rahul Dravid is expected to be honored with the Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award, while cricketer Shubman Gill could be named Men’s Cricketer of the Year at the upcoming BCCI Awards in New Delhi on March 15.
The awards ceremony, known as ‘NAMAN,’ will recognize various cricket teams, including the recent Men’s T20 World Cup champions, the 2025 Men’s Champions Trophy winners, the victorious 2025 Women’s ODI World Cup team, and the U19 World Cup champions from both genders.
Dravid, who led India to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup, is being recognized for his significant contributions to Indian cricket. On the other hand, Gill, not part of the recent T20 World Cup-winning squad, is in contention for the ‘Polly Umrigar Award’ for ‘Best International Cricketer- Men.’
Shubman Gill, aged 26, showcased impressive performances in 2025, scoring 983 runs in Tests, including 754 runs in the drawn series against England, and 490 runs in ODIs, with 188 runs during India’s Champions Trophy triumph.
Despite the honor, some members of the India women’s cricket team may miss the awards ceremony due to ongoing matches. The Mumbai Cricket Association is set to be acknowledged as the top-performing association in domestic cricket for the third consecutive year, with players like Yash Dubey and Yash Rathod receiving recognition for their outstanding performances.
Yash Dubey, a left-arm spin bowling all-rounder, is poised to receive the Madhavrao Scindia Award for being the highest wicket-taker in the Ranji Trophy Elite Group, while Ulhas Gandhe is in line for the Best Umpire Award. Additionally, Shanthanu Singh and Yashbardhan Singh Chauhan will be honored with the Jagmohan Dalmiya Trophy, and Nitya J Pandya and Hemchudeshan J will receive the M.A. Chidambaram Trophy.
