Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi expressed frustration towards media personnel questioning him about a potential privilege motion during the Budget session. He urged them to remain impartial and uphold journalistic integrity.
In a recent session, Rahul Gandhi criticized the Modi government, accusing it of compromising India’s interests, which led to objections from the ruling party regarding his language.
The BJP lawmakers announced plans to introduce a privilege motion against Rahul Gandhi, alleging his statements were misleading and baseless.
The Congress party defended Rahul Gandhi’s right to criticize the government for its actions in trade deals, stating that he did not violate any Parliamentary norms.
As Rahul Gandhi left the Parliament premises, reporters approached him for his response to the privilege motion discussions, which seemed to agitate him further.
He questioned the reporters about their choice of words and urged them to be objective in their reporting, emphasizing their responsibility to the nation.
Despite uncertainties, government sources hinted that a privilege motion was unlikely, but a substantive motion might be considered.
