Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, expressed solidarity with students on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar protesting against paper leaks and exam irregularities. He emphasized that the students are firm on their demands, including the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, action against those involved in the lathi-charge, and an apology from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Gandhi highlighted the students’ key demand for the removal of the Education Minister from the Cabinet, stressing that any reshuffling would not be acceptable. He criticized the government’s handling of the protests, condemning the injuries sustained by students and calling for accountability for the violence.
Additionally, Gandhi demanded an apology from Prime Minister Modi for the treatment of students and the impact on their future. He reassured protesting students against administrative actions, urging them to stand strong and continue their agitation without fear of intimidation.
