Railways’ Saurabh Chaudhary and Maharashtra’s Sakshi Sunil Padekar Triumph at Shooting Championship

Railways’ Saurabh Chaudhary and Maharashtra’s Sakshi Sunil Padekar secured victories in the 10m Air Pistol Men ISSF and 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women ISSF events at the 24th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship. Chaudhary claimed the gold medal in the 10m Air Pistol Men ISSF event with a final score of 242.8, while Padekar clinched the gold in the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions event with a score of 357.7.

In the 10m Air Pistol Men ISSF qualification round, Haryana’s Kamaljeet Choudhary led with a score of 585-24x, followed by Chaudhary in second place with 584-25x. Uttar Pradesh’s Gaurav secured third place with 582-20x, and Delhi’s Hardik Bansal qualified in fourth place with 581-18x. Sakshi Padekar topped the Women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions qualification with a score of 590-34x, equaling the KSS record.

Maharashtra’s Manya Mittal clinched the junior women’s title, while Rajasthan’s Abhishek Saini emerged victorious in the 10m Air Pistol Junior Men event. In the team events, the Army Marksmanship Unit, Rajasthan, and Haryana excelled in the 10m Pistol Men Team category. Tanish Kumar from Delhi topped the 10m Pistol Sub Youth Men category, and Babu Ram from Chandigarh led in the 10m Pistol Master Men event.
