Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma of Rajasthan highlighted the government’s top priority of maintaining strong law and order with a zero-tolerance approach towards crime. He stressed the importance of completing First Information Report investigations promptly to ensure timely justice for victims. Sharma chaired a high-level meeting at the Police Headquarters to review the state’s law and order situation, emphasizing clear accountability for police officers.
Efforts are directed towards preventing crimes at an early stage, with daily public hearings at the local level and regular district-wise crime reports. Sharma mandated inspections of police stations by Superintendents of Police and SP office inspections by Inspectors General of Police. The government is committed to providing necessary resources to enhance the police machinery, with a focus on daily monitoring of cybercrime cases and specialized training for police personnel.
Sharma instructed the preparation of a comprehensive action plan to combat narcotics trafficking and maintain strict vigilance in border areas. He highlighted the police’s crucial role in society and the need for a robust law and order framework to foster an investment-friendly environment. The Chief Minister urged police personnel to engage with communities, maintain courteous conduct, and increase women’s participation in Community Liaison Groups to strengthen policing efforts.
