Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized the importance of youth as the nation’s strength, citing India’s large youth population. He expressed confidence that by harnessing their potential, India could emerge as a global leader. Addressing the Rajasthan Yuva Shakti Diwas event, he reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting youth in achieving a Developed India – Developed Rajasthan vision.
Sharma praised the role of youth in nation-building and encouraged them to work diligently, assuring them of full government support. He also highlighted the historical significance of Rajasthan Diwas, commemorating the establishment of “Greater Rajasthan” on March 30, 1949. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, Sharma noted India’s progress and various welfare schemes benefiting farmers, youth, women, and laborers.
The Chief Minister outlined key provisions in the 2026-27 Budget aimed at empowering youth, including interest-free loans for tribal youth and the establishment of skill development centers. He emphasized economic reforms and improvements in the Ease of Doing Business, leading to Rajasthan’s per capita income exceeding Rs 2 lakh for the first time.
Sharma discussed the government’s focus on water projects and the strengthening of the power sector to ensure statewide electricity access by 2027. He highlighted the Youth Policy aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and job creation, along with measures to prevent examination paper leaks. The government has ambitious employment targets, with ongoing recruitment drives to fill government and private sector positions.
Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore commended the Chief Minister’s efforts in empowering youth and enhancing transparency in recruitment processes. At the event, the Chief Minister inaugurated development projects worth Rs 485 crore across education, skill development, entrepreneurship, and sports sectors.
