Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to publicly apologize to the nation for his comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Sharma criticized Gandhi’s remarks as disrespectful and offensive towards the country’s top leadership, stating that such language reflects the Congress party’s frustration and declining political mindset.
Sharma emphasized that while ideological differences are expected in a democracy, using indecent language against the highest constitutional offices is unacceptable. He accused the opposition of lacking decorum and balance in its political opposition, leading to societal division and chaos.
The Chief Minister insisted that Gandhi’s derogatory comments have hurt the sentiments of 140 crore Indians and called for an immediate apology. Gandhi had labeled Modi and Shah as “traitors” during a public event in Raebareli, triggering a political controversy. The Congress party defended Gandhi’s statements, attributing them to the widespread anger and frustration among the populace.
