On the initiative of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Rajasthan Day celebrations began last year on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada. This year, the state government plans to mark Rajasthan Day with various programs and events starting from March 14 until March 19. The festivities will kick off with a seven-day Cleanliness Week on March 14, followed by state-level and district-level programs.
The state-level Vikas Rajasthan Run is scheduled for March 15 in Jaipur, inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. Concurrently, a ‘Know Rajasthan’ digital quiz will be launched alongside the state-level ODOP Fair and Exhibition in Jaipur. Additionally, competitions like essay writing, speech, and painting will be organized in universities and colleges.
March 16 will witness the celebration of Rajasthan Tribal Pride Day at Beneshwar Dham in Dungarpur, featuring various activities such as foundation stone laying ceremonies, tribal art and handicraft exhibitions, and dialogue programs. A state-level Youth Conference is set for March 17 in Jaipur to commemorate Rajasthan Youth Power Day, with activities including dialogues with entrepreneurs and employment letter distributions in the private sector.
On March 18, Farmers and Animal Husbandry Prosperity Day will be observed, focusing on interactions with farmers and cattle rearers, along with the inauguration of development projects. The day will culminate with the Maha Aarti in government temples across the state, with the Chief Minister’s participation. The main Rajasthan Day event will take place in Jalore on March 19, featuring a Beneficiary Conference and a state-level cultural program in Jaipur in the evening.
