Rajasthan Education Minister Madan Dilawar has declared that starting from July 31, new private schools in the state can apply for recognition. The minister emphasized that the recognition procedure will be more transparent, time-bound, and efficient, ensuring strict adherence to specified timelines at every step. In a recent review meeting at Shiksha Sankul, Dilawar directed officials to ensure full compliance with government regulations, warning of severe consequences for schools breaching the rules.

Reviewing the recognition mechanism, Dilawar instructed the first-level inspection committee to complete inspections and submit reports within seven days. Following this, the District Education Officer will review the reports within 15 days, and the final decision on granting recognition will be made by the Director of Education. Dilawar stressed the importance of transparent inspections and completing the entire process within the designated timeframe, with officials facing consequences for unnecessary delays.

Highlighting student safety as a top priority, the Education Minister mandated necessary amendments to enhance safety standards and simplify regulations in the recognition process. Inspection teams have been tasked with thoroughly evaluating various aspects like student seating arrangements, school infrastructure, and safety provisions. Dilawar also directed schools to ensure safe drop-off of students within the premises for added security.

Emphasizing the need for private schools to adhere to prescribed norms and regulations, Dilawar warned of disciplinary action, including recognition cancellation for non-compliance. He further instructed officials to crack down on schools engaging in malpractices like enrolling dummy students or withholding essential academic documents over fee disputes. Additional Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar Yadav reiterated the state’s commitment to a streamlined, technology-driven recognition system, emphasizing timely application processing and strict safety compliance.
