Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde initiated the ‘Census 2027’ process at Lok Bhawan, marking the official start of census activities in the state. He encouraged citizens to actively participate in this national exercise by providing accurate information through self-enumeration on the Census Web Portal. Bagde specifically called on youth and social organizations to assist those unfamiliar with digital platforms to ensure inclusivity in the process.
Officials highlighted that ‘Census 2027’ will be India’s first fully digital census, with data collection conducted solely through digital devices. Citizens can opt for self-enumeration on the official portal from May 1 to May 15 before field surveys begin. The Governor emphasized the importance of cooperation with census enumerators during door-to-door surveys and urged citizens to utilize helpline services for any assistance.
Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma also participated in the self-enumeration process, setting an example for citizens. By filling in his details on the official portal, he emphasized the significance of citizen involvement in Census 2027 for effective governance and planning.
