Rajasthan govt transfers 26 IAS, 53 RAS Officers in late-night administrative reshuffle

Jaipur, Aug 18 (IANS) The Rajasthan government carried out a major late-night administrative reshuffle, transferring 26 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers and 53 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers across the state.

The Personnel Department issued the transfer and posting orders on August 17, with the changes taking effect immediately in the interest of the state administration.

The reshuffle also includes postings for 13 IAS officers undergoing training, while one IAS officer who was awaiting posting has also been assigned a new responsibility. The move affects several key departments, development authorities, urban local bodies and district-level administrative positions.

According to the official IAS transfer order, Nitya K. (2018 batch) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Energy Department, Rajasthan, Jaipur, after serving as Commissioner of the Ajmer Development Authority. Dr Shilpa Singh (2018) has been posted as Joint Secretary in the Planning Department after serving as Registrar of Sardar Patel Police University, Jodhpur.

Utsah Chaudhary (2018) has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Disaster Management and Relief Department, moving from his position as Commissioner of the Jodhpur Development Authority. Girdhar (2019) has been posted as Chief Executive Officer of the Bhiwadi Integrated Development Authority (BIDA) in Khairthal-Tijara.

Dhaigude Snehal Nana (2019) has been appointed Commissioner of the Bikaner Development Authority, moving from the Urban Improvement Trust in Alwar. Lalit Goyal (2019), who was awaiting posting orders, has been appointed Joint Secretary in the Public Works Department.

The order further appoints Pratibha Verma (2020) as Director, Medical (IEC), Rajasthan; Abhishek Jain (2020) as Chief Executive Officer of the District Council and Additional District Programme Coordinator, EGS, in Sri Ganganagar; and Gaurav Budania (2021) as Commissioner of the Ajmer Municipal Corporation.

Other changes include the appointment of Avhad Nivrutti Somnath (2021) as Additional Chief Executive Officer of the Rajasthan Institute for Transformation and Innovation (RITI), Jaipur, while Salunkhe Gaurav Ravindra (2021) has been posted as Secretary of the Urban Improvement Trust, Bhilwara.

The government has also ordered the transfer of 53 RAS officers, with detailed postings issued separately as part of the wider administrative reshuffle.
