Rajasthan Legislative Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani emphasized the importance of maintaining decorum and constructive discussions in legislative assemblies. He highlighted that these assemblies should serve as platforms for serious and dignified deliberations, guiding public welfare and democracy. Devnani made these remarks during a conference of young legislators at the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Bhopal.
The event was graced by the presence of Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, and the Leader of the Opposition. Devnani emphasized that the Legislative Assembly symbolizes the essence of democracy, where elected representatives voice the people’s aspirations and concerns. He warned against turning this sacred space into one of disorder, as it would undermine democratic values and public trust.
Devnani stressed the need for logical and factual discussions in the House, focusing on public issues with seriousness and pursuing solutions constructively. He urged legislators to maintain dignity in dialogue, act with restraint, and prioritize the interests of the state and nation. The Speaker highlighted the significance of youth participation in shaping the future of Indian democracy, referring to the conference as a convergence of legislative energy from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.
