Naoba Meitei and Amadou Soukouna each scored a goal in the second half, leading Rajasthan United to a 2-0 victory over Chanmari FC in the Indian Football League (IFL) 2025-26 match at Vidhyadhar Nagar Stadium in Jaipur. Rajasthan United now tops the table temporarily with 11 points from six matches, while Chanmari FC remains in eighth place with five points from the same number of matches. Amadou Soukouna was named the Player of the Match for his performance.
Chanmari FC’s head coach, Dipankur Sharma, made three changes to the starting XI for his first match in charge, introducing foreign defenders Kyle Degelman and Marlon Angel and striker KC Malsawmsanga. On the other hand, Vikrant Sharma, the coach of Rajasthan United, maintained an unchanged lineup for the home team.
In the early stages, the visitors displayed more attacking intent, utilizing the pace of KC Malsawmsanga and Jota on the flanks. Rajasthan United focused on building up play from the back with a mix of short passes and long balls aimed at Amadou Soukouna. Despite both teams’ efforts, clear-cut chances were scarce in the first half, with the teams going into halftime level.
Rajasthan United made a significant impact after halftime when Naoba Meitei, introduced as a substitute, scored within seven minutes of the restart with a brilliant finish from the edge of the box. Shortly after, Amadou Soukouna extended the lead with a remarkable long-range strike, securing a 2-0 lead for the home side. Despite efforts from Chanmari FC to find openings, Rajasthan United’s defense held firm, ensuring a clean sheet and victory.
