Defence Minister Rajnath Singh conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the armed forces on Army Day, lauding their sacrifices and unwavering commitment to the nation. Singh praised the Indian Army’s courage, sacrifice, and dedication to protecting India’s sovereignty and integrity. He emphasized the Army’s professionalism, discipline, and humanitarian efforts, earning global admiration.

Singh reiterated the government’s dedication to developing a modern and self-reliant Army. He expressed the nation’s unity in honoring and respecting its soldiers. Army Day, commemorating General K.M. Cariappa’s appointment as the first Indian Commander-in-Chief in 1949, is a day of significance and remembrance.

This year, the main Army Day Parade in Jaipur departs from tradition by moving from military cantonments to a public urban route on Mahal Road. The Defence Minister is actively participating in the celebrations in Jaipur. The Sapta Shakti Command in Jaipur is managing a large crowd of around eight lakh civilians, fostering a stronger bond between the armed forces and the youth.

The celebrations focus on the theme ‘Year of Networking and Data Centricity’, showcasing the Indian Army’s shift towards advanced digitalization and data-driven decision-making for modern warfare demands.
