Rajnath Singh: Terrorism Integral to Pakistan’s State Policy

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, speaking at the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas event, highlighted that terrorism is now ingrained in Pakistan’s state policy. He emphasized the blurred line between the military and militants in Pakistan, stating India’s firm stance against both terrorists and their backers. Singh underscored that discussions with Pakistan can only revolve around Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK), an integral part of India.

Singh praised Operation Sindoor’s success in dismantling terrorism sponsors in Pakistan, warning of strong retaliation to any border provocations. He honored the soldiers’ sacrifices during the Kargil conflict, acknowledging their unparalleled bravery and endurance in extreme conditions. Singh commemorated the soldiers’ unwavering commitment, noting their historic achievements despite strategic disadvantages.

The Defence Minister paid tribute to the martyred soldiers, recounting the emotional toll on their families and the nation. He highlighted the selfless sacrifices of young soldiers, emphasizing their dreams and aspirations sacrificed for the country. Singh remembered the valor of Captain Manoj Pandey, Captain Vikram Batra, and other heroes, stressing the enduring importance of Kargil Vijay Diwas for the nation.

Singh reflected on the soldiers’ diverse backgrounds and shared commitment to the nation, emphasizing their unity in sacrifice. He recalled the soldiers’ determination and spirit, quoting Captain Vikram Batra’s iconic words. Singh praised India’s progress towards self-reliance in defense manufacturing, echoing the call for further advancements. He outlined the government’s vision for a self-reliant India by 2040, encompassing economic, strategic, and social dimensions.
