The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) women’s team secured their second Women’s Premier League (WPL) trophy by defeating the Delhi Capitals. Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy praised the RCB women for their exceptional performance in the final match.
Siddaramaiah commended the RCB team for their outstanding display throughout the tournament, culminating in a victory over Delhi. Union Minister Kumaraswamy lauded the RCB women for their remarkable achievement in women’s cricket, emphasizing the team’s collective effort and leadership of Smriti Mandhana.
BJP State President B.Y. Vijayendra also extended congratulations to the RCB women for their consistent and dominant performance in clinching the WPL trophy. The RCB’s victory marked a historic moment as they became the first team to hold both IPL and WPL titles simultaneously.
The final match saw captain Smriti Mandhana’s stellar performance, scoring 87 off 41 balls, leading RCB to a successful chase against Delhi. With this win, RCB solidified their position as a powerhouse in women’s cricket, showcasing their champion spirit and skill on the field.
