Heavy downpours have caused temporary closures of educational institutions in multiple districts, hindering students from reaching their colleges for document verification. Acknowledging these challenges, the Directorate of Education extended the Special Round-1 cutoff to assist affected applicants. For the academic year 2026-27, the online admission process is ongoing in 9,688 junior colleges in Maharashtra, with over 1 million students successfully securing admission.
Authorities have advised unassigned or unconfirmed students to use the extended window to finalize their applications. Students with allotted seats in Special Round-1 must physically report to their colleges with original documents for verification. Failure to do so within the specified timeframe will lead to seat forfeiture. The schedule for the next admission round will be announced on July 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM, with a list of vacant seats across colleges to be published on July 10, 2026.
