Jaipur, July 28 (IANS) Rajasthan has grounded investment proposals worth more than Rs 8 lakh crore under the ‘Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit’, with the state government directing all departments to accelerate implementation and achieve the targets set for November 2026.

Reviewing the progress of investment agreements (MoUs) at the Government Secretariat on Tuesday, State Chief Secretary V. Srinivas said the focus has now shifted from merely signing MoUs to ensuring that projects are implemented on the ground within stipulated timelines.

He directed all departments to conduct regular review meetings, resolve pending issues on priority, and ensure time-bound disposal of proposals and files.

Srinivas also asked departments to maintain close coordination with district collectors to remove hurdles affecting project execution.

“The investment proposals must translate into actual projects. Achieving the November 2026 grounding targets is a top priority,” he said.

Presenting the progress report, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) Shikhar Agrawal said that investment proposals worth more than Rs 35 lakh crore, arising from more than 11,000 active MoUs signed during the Rising Rajasthan summit, are currently at various stages of implementation.

Of these, projects worth more than Rs 8 lakh crore have already been grounded, while the remaining proposals are progressing according to department-wise action plans.

Agrawal said the Industries Department is working closely with other departments to fast-track issues related to land allotment, statutory permissions, No Objection Certificates (NOCs), Letters of Intent (LOIs), Letters of Permission (LOPs) and other approvals required for project execution.

The Chief Secretary noted that the Energy Department is a key stakeholder in implementing investment projects and asked it, along with other departments, to expedite work to meet the November deadline.

Senior officials from departments, including Industries, Energy, Urban Development, Tourism, Information Technology, Agriculture, Civil Aviation, AYUSH, RIICO, RVUNL and RRECL attended the meeting.

District Collectors from across Rajasthan also participated through video conferencing.
