Russian State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin accused the European Union (EU), former US President Joe Biden, and his supporters of causing the conflict in Ukraine. He stated that innocent civilians died due to their actions, holding them responsible for the bloodshed. Volodin claimed that those behind the conflict are trying to maintain power by falsely accusing Russia.
He emphasized that Russia has never viewed Europe as an enemy and has always supported its development. Volodin highlighted Russia’s role in aiding Europe’s growth by providing affordable energy and enhancing its economy. He criticized certain European leaders for exploiting the idea of a Russian threat to cling to power, urging European citizens to hold such politicians accountable for their actions.
Russian President Vladimir Putin condemned the European Union’s attempts to seize Russian assets as “robbery” during his recent annual Q&A session. He warned that such actions would have severe consequences, not only affecting the robbers but also undermining trust in the Eurozone. Putin highlighted the potential impact on countries, including oil-producing nations, that store their foreign reserves in the Eurozone.
