S8UL Esports made history by securing a top-five position globally at the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) 2026 Championship in Sapporo, Japan. This remarkable achievement marks the best performance by an Indian organization in the Apex Legends international arena, setting a new standard for esports in the country.
The ALGS 2026 Championship, which took place from January 15 to 18, featured 40 of the world’s most skilled and consistent teams from the year-long global circuit. S8UL’s all-Australian roster, led by head coach Harrison Rogers, stood out as the sole South Asian team to clinch a top-five finish at this prestigious event.
Notably, S8UL earned USD 120,000 (approximately Rs 1 crore) from the tournament’s total prize pool of USD 2,000,000 (approximately Rs 18.14 crore). The team’s journey began in Group B, progressing through a challenging round-robin stage before securing a spot in the Winners Bracket and eventually advancing to the Grand Finals.
In the Grand Finals, S8UL navigated the high-pressure Match Point Format, accumulating 64 points across nine final matches to secure the fifth position globally. Coach Harrison Rogers praised the team’s adaptability, trust, and resilience, emphasizing the significance of this achievement and the team’s potential for future success.
S8UL’s performance at the ALGS 2026 Championship further solidifies their reputation in international Apex Legends competitions.
