Sainyam from Chandigarh and Gaurav Kumar from Uttar Pradesh emerged victorious in the women’s and men’s 10m Air Pistol Trail 2 finals at the Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range. Sainyam clinched the top spot in the women’s event with a commanding score of 243.1, outscoring Rhythm Sangwan by 5.4 points who secured the second position. Meanwhile, Gaurav Kumar secured the top spot in the men’s event after a closely contested final.
In the women’s category, Suruchi Singh topped the qualification round with a remarkable score of 587-31x but finished eighth in the finals. Palak secured the second spot in qualification and finished fifth in the finals. Shwetha Singh claimed the third spot in qualification and ended up in sixth place in the finals. Meenu Pathak, Priya Muralidhar, Rhythm Sangwan, and Sainyam also put up strong performances in the competition.
Gaurav Kumar, who finished second in Trial 1, improved his performance to clinch the top spot in Trial 2. He qualified third for the finals and went on to win with a final score of 245.5, surpassing Yogesh Kumar who finished second. Harsh Swami secured the third spot in the men’s event. Ajendra Singh Chauhan, Udhayveer Singh, Kamaljeet Choudhary, Sarabjot Singh, and Kedarling Balakrishna Uchaganve also showcased their skills in the competition.
