The company’s President, Roh Tae-moon, expressed the goal of providing consumers with meaningful AI interactions across their entire range of products and services. This initiative was announced at an event in Las Vegas ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, a prominent technology exhibition.
In line with its vision, Samsung introduced the Vision AI Companion, a specialized AI platform for Samsung TVs designed to better understand user conversations compared to previous models. The upcoming 2026 TV releases will feature the HDR10 Plus Advanced format, offering advanced brightness, color, and motion processing capabilities. Additionally, Samsung unveiled its “home companion” concept, aiming to ease household chores through advanced screen, camera, and voice recognition systems in home appliances.
Samsung Electronics also revealed plans to incorporate AI technology into SmartThings, its smart-home platform, enabling seamless interaction between various home appliances to better cater to users’ needs. The company further announced intentions to integrate AI into its health care application, Samsung Health, to provide users with a comprehensive and personalized wellness experience. This includes analyzing user data on sleep, nutrition, and daily activities to identify potential chronic diseases and offering workout tips and nutritional recipes based on connected refrigerators’ contents.
Moreover, Samsung showcased technology capable of analyzing users’ walking speed and finger movements to detect early signs of cognitive decline. Roh emphasized Samsung’s commitment to enhancing users’ daily lives through innovative products, services, and AI advancements, with a focus on responsible and ethical AI standards to become a trusted AI companion in everyday life.
