Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock has expressed a unique perspective on artificial intelligence (AI) in contrast to common beliefs. Bullock, aged 61, emphasized the importance of embracing AI in the entertainment industry. She acknowledged the potential of AI showcased by fans creating trailers for her new film, ‘Practical Magic 2’.

During the CNBC Changemakers Summit, Bullock stressed the need to approach AI with caution while also recognizing its value in a creative and constructive manner. She highlighted the necessity of understanding and leveraging AI while remaining vigilant against its misuse. Warner Bros. acknowledged the fan-made AI trailers for ‘Practical Magic 2’, noting their imperfect quality but appreciating the audience’s interest in the film.

Notably, other Hollywood figures like Uma Thurman and Director James Cameron have also shown optimism towards AI. Thurman expressed a balanced view, foreseeing both positive and negative aspects of the technology. Similarly, Cameron discussed the potential of AI in reducing special effects costs but cautioned against the idea of artificial super-intelligence dominating society.
