A sanitation worker at a private school in Ahmedabad’s rural district has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a minor student. The incident surfaced when the child’s parents noticed behavioral changes and the child revealed the abuse after counseling. The accused, employed as a sanitation worker at the school, reportedly engaged in serious sexual abuse and inappropriate physical conduct against a five-year-old child on school premises.
Following a complaint by the child’s parents, a case was filed under relevant sections of the law. The accused, identified as 54-year-old Pasha Bhangi, was swiftly apprehended by the authorities. Deputy Superintendent of Police Tapansinh Dodiya mentioned that the child’s parents noticed unusual behavior in the child, leading to the disclosure of the abuse.
The alleged abuse took place in the school washroom where the accused, responsible for cleaning, reportedly committed the offenses. The police emphasized the importance of awareness programs in schools on child safety, encouraging parents to be vigilant about any behavioral changes in their children. The accused had been employed at the school for about a year and had previous sanitation work experience in other locations.
