The Sansad Khel Mahotsav 2025, aimed at showcasing grassroots sporting talent from the Raver Lok Sabha constituency, commenced at the Central Railway Ground in Bhusawal, Maharashtra. Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial torch, heralding the start of the sporting extravaganza.
The opening ceremony of the event set a high standard with its vibrant energy, discipline, and sporting fervor. Spectators were treated to a colorful march-past by athletes, impressive Mallakhamb displays, and lively performances of traditional Dhangari folk dance, captivating the audience.
Addressing the young athletes, Raksha Khadse emphasized that the Mahotsav is not just a competition but a crucial platform for nurturing India’s future sporting talents. The event aims to empower talented athletes from rural areas, fostering a strong sports culture and preparing them to excel on the global stage in the future.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including senior leaders and officials like MLA from Malkapur Chensukh Sanchiti, MLA from Raver Amol Jawale, and Chairman of Shendurjni Municipal Council Govind Seth Agrawal. The event witnessed the participation of over 6,500 athletes from various talukas of the Raver Lok Sabha constituency, engaging in a range of sports disciplines from December 23 to 25.
The Sansad Khel Mahotsav is not just a series of competitions but a movement to instill values like discipline, teamwork, and leadership among the youth.
