Syed Saqib Ahmed and Kartik Singh have secured positions in the Top 15 at the ongoing USD 160,000 IGPL Morocco Rising Stars 2026 event. Saqib, a former India junior No. 1, shot a 2-under 70 at the Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort course, placing him Tied-14th with a total of 7-under after three days. Kartik Singh, a teen golfer, is one shot ahead of Saqib at Tied-11th with a total of 8-under.
Many Indian golfers faced challenges on the leaderboard, with Raghav Chugh at T-28th with a score of 5-under after a triple bogey on the 16th hole. Trishul Chinnappa is at T-34, and Arjun Bhati is at T-38. Other participants like Samarth Dwivedi, Sachin Baisoya, Rashid Khan, Milind Soni, and Kartik Sharma are also competing in the tournament.
Thailand’s Tanapat Pichaikool leads the event with a score of 15-under 201 after shooting an impressive eight-under-par 64. Argentina’s Franco Scorzato and Thai golfer Runchanapong Youprayong are also performing well in the competition. Saqib, pleased with his progress, expressed his comfort with the course’s conditions and his enjoyment of the game amidst the windy challenges.
Carson Herron, son of PGA Tour winner Tim Herron, showcased his talent by shooting the lowest round of the tournament with a bogey-free 63. The event at Mazagan Beach & Golf Resort marks the fifth stop of the 2026 season on the ADT, with the upcoming IGPL Bharath Classic also set to take place at the same venue next week.
