Centuries from Sarfaraz Khan and Siddhesh Lad propelled Mumbai to 332/4 against Hyderabad on the first day of their Elite Group D match in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26 season. Hyderabad, opting to bowl first, made early breakthroughs but Sarfaraz’s 142 not out and Lad’s 104 not out turned the tide in Mumbai’s favor. The duo’s partnership shifted the momentum, putting Mumbai in a commanding position by stumps.

In another match at the BCCI CoE Ground 2 in Bengaluru, Ayush Doheja’s unbeaten 104 rescued Delhi from a collapse, helping them reach 216 in their first innings against Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh responded well, ending the day at 52 without loss. Meanwhile, Jammu & Kashmir bowled out Pondicherry for 233, and Pukhraj Mann’s unbeaten 118 guided Himachal Pradesh to 314/4 against Rajasthan at Anantam Ground in Jaipur.
