A shocking murder in Bhagalpur has stirred up anger in Bihar following the broad daylight shooting of Executive Officer Krishna Bhushan Kumar at the Sultanganj Nagar Parishad office. The victim’s family, including his wife, children, and relatives, is devastated by the tragic incident.
Krishna Bhushan’s elder brother, Ajay Kumar, has demanded justice and alleged that the murder was a premeditated conspiracy. Expressing concern over the safety of government officials in Bihar, he emphasized the need for a high-level inquiry and the harshest punishment for the perpetrators.
The CCTV footage of the attack has been revealed, depicting the audacious nature of the crime committed during office hours. Three armed assailants entered his office chamber and fatally shot him on the spot. Additionally, Municipal Chairman Raj Kumar alias Guddu was also injured in the incident and is currently in critical condition, raising apprehensions about law and order and the security of public officials in the state.
The incident, which occurred in broad daylight, has sparked criticism of the state’s administration, with opposition parties accusing the government of security lapses. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav criticized the ruling government, attributing such incidents to a decline in law and order. He pointed fingers at the Bharatiya Janata Party leadership and criticized the current governance as fostering a culture of criminal empowerment, labeling it as “Mangalraj.”
