Actor Shekhar Suman recently posted a throwback photo on Instagram featuring Bollywood icons Sanjay Dutt and Amitabh Bachchan. The picture captures the trio in casual attire, with Shekhar and Sanjay flanking Amitabh, all wearing smiles. The snapshot is believed to be from the 1994 movie “Insaaf Apne Lahoo Se,” where Amitabh gave the inaugural clap. The action-packed film also stars Shatrughan Sinha, Farah Naaz, Sonam, and Gulshan Grover.
Shekhar Suman began his acting career in 1984 with the movie “Utsav,” opposite veteran actress Rekha. Over the years, he has worked with renowned actors like Dimple Kapadia in “Pati Parmeshwar” (1990) and Madhuri Dixit in “Manav Hatya” (1986). In 2017, Shekhar and Sanjay shared the screen in the film “Bhoomi,” helmed by Omung Kumar. The movie, which also features Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharad Kelkar, revolves around the story of Bhoomi, who seeks justice after a traumatic incident.
Recently, Shekhar Suman appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s web series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar.” Set in Lahore’s Heera Mandi during the Indian independence movement, the series delves into the lives of courtesans and their struggles amidst British colonial rule. The star-studded cast includes Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Segal, and Taha Shah Badussha.
