Actress Shilpa Shinde, famous for her role as Angoori bhabhi, recently paid tribute to the classic song “Kanchi Re Kanchi Re” from the 1972 film “Hare Rama Hare Krishna” by channeling Mumtaz’s charm. In a video shared on social media, she recreated the iconic number originally performed by Mumtaz and Dev Anand, set to the music of R.D. Burman, showcasing her interpretative dance skills.

“Hare Rama Hare Krishna,” directed by Dev Anand and featuring Zeenat Aman and Prem Chopra, delves into the Hippie culture’s decline and carries an anti-drug message along with highlighting issues related to Westernization. The film’s concept was inspired by Dev Anand’s encounter with hippies in Kathmandu, Nepal.

Shilpa Shinde, who debuted on television in 2002 with “Amrapali,” gained prominence for her roles in serials like “Bhabhi,” “Sanjeevani,” and “Miss India.” Her notable portrayal of Koyal Narayan in the sitcom “Chidiya Ghar” marked a breakthrough in her career. Despite facing personal challenges, she excelled in her performances, especially as Angoori Bhabhi in “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai!”

Participating in reality shows like “Bigg Boss 11,” Shilpa Shinde emerged as the winner and currently stars as Angoori Manmohan Tiwari in “Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain 2.0,” showcasing her versatility and talent in the entertainment industry.
