Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC criticized Maharashtra BJP minister Ganesh Naik for his statement about “erasing Shinde,” questioning if his party leadership approved it. She emphasized that her party does not require validation from him. Naik’s comments targeting Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde have sparked tension within the ruling Mahayuti alliance.
At a public event, Naik expressed his ability to politically “erase” Eknath Shinde if permitted by the BJP leadership. This remark exposed underlying tensions between the BJP and the Shiv Sena led by Shinde. Naik suggested that the BJP’s performance in recent local body elections could have been better if they had contested independently, especially in strongholds like Thane, Kalyan, and Ulhasnagar.
Responding to Naik’s remarks, Shaina NC questioned whether he had the BJP leadership’s approval or if it was his personal opinion. She defended Shinde as a respected mass leader with public trust. Shaina NC also highlighted the political dynamics, reminding Naik that he became a minister when Shinde was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
