After the NEET-UG 2026 exam cancellation due to alleged malpractice by the National Testing Agency (NTA), Priyanka Chaturvedi, a Shiv Sena-UBT leader, accused a “syndicate” and a “broker system” of being responsible for the paper leaks. Chaturvedi criticized the BJP-led Centre for not taking accountability, calling it “extremely shameful.”
She expressed concerns about the mental well-being of the students who prepared for the exam, only to be informed that their efforts were in vain. Chaturvedi emphasized the distress faced by both students and their parents due to the exam cancellation and subsequent need for repreparation.
Referring to past irregularities in the 2024 NEET-UG exam, Chaturvedi questioned the government’s actions and accountability measures. She demanded transparency regarding the investigation and outcomes of previous paper leak incidents, urging for preventive actions to avoid such occurrences in the future.
Chaturvedi highlighted the dual challenges faced by the youth today, citing “unemployment and paper leaks” as significant issues. She called upon the Central government to establish accountability and apprehend those involved in such fraudulent activities, advocating for a crackdown on the syndicate responsible for leaking exam papers.
