Shrachi Bengal Tigers secured a 1-0 victory against Ranchi Royals in the Women’s Hockey India League (HIL) 2025-26 match at Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Astro Turf Hockey Stadium. Agustina Gorzelany scored the decisive goal in the 37th minute, propelling her team to second place on the points table.
Ranchi Royals started strong with their midfield dictating play early on, earning five penalty corners and seven circle penetrations in the first quarter. Despite their efforts, they couldn’t breach Jennifer Rizzo’s goal for Shrachi Bengal Tigers. The Tigers, playing on the counter, had a late chance of their own, with Bichu Devi Kharibam making key saves for the home team.
In the second quarter, Shrachi Bengal Tigers intensified their attack, pressuring the Royals’ defense with seven circle penetrations and multiple penalty corners. However, Madhuri Kindo’s solid goalkeeping for the hosts kept the score level at 0-0 by halftime, following a hard-fought first half.
