Shrachi Bengal Tigers emerged victorious in a thrilling Women’s Hockey India League 2025-26 match against SG Pipers, securing a 4-3 shootout win after a 3-3 tie in regulation time. Agustina Gorzelany (6’, 18’) and Lalremsiami (11’) scored for the Tigers, while Lola Riera (10’, 60’) and Sunelita Toppo (59’) found the net for SG Pipers at the Marang Gomke Jaipal Singh Munda International Hockey Stadium in Ranchi.
The Tigers took an early lead through Gorzelany’s penalty corner goal (6’), swiftly countered by Riera’s strike (10’) for the Pipers. Lalremsiami’s deft deflection (11’) put the Tigers back in front, extending their lead with Gorzelany’s second goal (18’) before halftime. Despite Pipers’ efforts, Tigers’ goalkeeper Jennifer Rizzo’s saves maintained their 3-1 lead.
SG Pipers fought back in the second half, narrowing the gap with Toppo’s goal (59’) and Riera’s late equalizer (60’). The match ended 3-3, leading to a tense shootout where Lalremsiami’s decisive goal secured the bonus point for Shrachi Bengal Tigers.
