Singer Mujtaba Aziz Naza shared his thoughts on the trend of artists embracing independent music. He highlighted that independent music allows artists the creative freedom to express themselves authentically, a liberty often constrained in film music where various stakeholders influence the final product.
In a conversation, Mujtaba emphasized the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in the music industry. While acknowledging AI’s supportive role, he stressed that AI lacks the ability to capture the essence and soul of music, emphasizing the irreplaceable human touch in creating emotional and inspirational music.
Regarding AI’s potential to replicate the soul of Sufi or Qawwali music, Mujtaba expressed that AI, despite its utility, falls short in capturing the profound emotional and spiritual elements unique to human creativity. He emphasized that music’s depth and richness stem from human creativity that transcends the limitations of AI.
Mujtaba also addressed concerns about AI cloning artists’ voices and the associated rights issues. He advocated for artists to retain rights over their voices if used, emphasizing the industry’s responsibility to address such matters seriously to ensure fairness and protection for artists.
