Expressing joy over his film ‘Amaran’ clinching three awards, including Best Director, at the 72nd National Awards, actor Sivakarthikeyan hailed it as a proud moment for the entire ‘Amaran’ team.
The movie, inspired by the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who received the Ashok Chakra, the nation’s highest gallantry award, for his bravery in Jammu and Kashmir, secured Best Director for Rajkumar Periasamy, Best Background Score for G V Prakash Kumar, and Best Editing for Kalaivannan.
Sivakarthikeyan also extended congratulations to other winners, such as actor Dhanush, who bagged awards for his Tamil films ‘Raayan’ and ‘Captain Miller’, with ‘Raayan’ named Best Tamil Feature Film and ‘Captain Miller’ earning a Special Mention for Dhanush.
In the same post, Sivakarthikeyan applauded Malayalam superstar Mammootty and Kartik Aaryan for jointly winning Best Actor, and Yami Gautham for securing Best Actress at the 72nd National Film Awards, announced by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
