In Govindpur village of Chadchan taluk, Karnataka’s Vijayapura district, a tragic incident unfolded as six individuals were ruthlessly killed due to a property dispute. The victims, including members of the Nirale and Golagi families, were brutally attacked with deadly weapons and firearms. This horrifying event has instilled fear in the Bhima River belt region, known for previous violent confrontations.
The longstanding land dispute between the two families had been escalating, leading to the fatal outcome witnessed on Friday. The victims, identified as Revansiddappa Nirale, Dundappa Revansiddappa Nirale, Shivaputra Revansiddappa Nirale, Chandrashekhar Nirale, and Shabbir Nadaf, fell victim to the violent clash. Additionally, another individual lost their life during the attack, bringing the total death toll to six.
Tensions had been mounting over agricultural land ownership, culminating in the fatal assault during what was supposed to be a settlement meeting. The local authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, with police officials promptly responding to the scene. Post-mortem examinations were conducted on the bodies, and stringent security measures have been implemented to prevent further disturbances in the village.
