Actress Somy Ali shared how Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt taught her a crucial lesson early in her career – to treat everyone on set with equal respect, regardless of their position. She recalled her first shoot with Dutt, emphasizing his humility and kindness towards the entire crew, from the director to the tea boy. Ali highlighted the significance of empathy, urging kindness as people may be battling unseen struggles.

Reflecting on her time in Bollywood, Ali mentioned working with Dutt in the 1990s film ‘Andolan’ and appearing in other movies like ‘Anth’, ‘Krishna Avtaar’, and ‘Teesra Kaun’ alongside top actors of that period. Despite her success, Ali chose to leave the industry at its peak and now focuses on social work and activism in the United States.
