In preparation for the Commonwealth Games 2030 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) and MyBharat have introduced three engagement programs. These initiatives are designed to boost sportsmanship, creativity, and youth involvement nationwide. Participants can engage in the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest’, the ‘CWG Reel Challenge’, and the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’.
The contests, which are free to enter, aim to enhance public engagement, particularly among the youth, in India’s sports scene. They also seek to inspire creativity, national pride, and enthusiasm for the successful hosting of the Commonwealth Games 2030. The competitions are open to all MyBharat users and are part of the ‘#CWG2030InBharat’ vision.
The ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Contest’ invites citizens to create a torch concept inspired by India’s culture, heritage, innovation, sustainability, and sporting excellence. Entries can be digital or hand-drawn, accompanied by an optional concept note of up to 200 words. The contest will be held online from May 11 to 20, allowing each participant to submit only one entry.
The ‘CWG Reel Challenge’ encourages participants to produce original reels showcasing India’s evolving sporting culture, local sports infrastructure, fitness, and excitement for hosting CWG 2030. Participants are urged to include messages supporting India’s readiness for CWG 2030 and wishing the Indian contingent success for CWG 2026. Reels must not exceed 60 seconds, and the challenge will run from May 7 to 16 May, with one entry permitted per participant.
The ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’ celebrates India’s sporting heritage and aims to raise awareness about the country’s Commonwealth Games journey. The quiz comprises 10 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 5 minutes, requiring a minimum score of 8 marks to qualify. Participants are allowed only one attempt, and the quiz is open from May 9 to September 26, with the top five winners announced weekly. Participation certificates will also be provided.
