Several people, including three seriously, were injured in a stampede-like situation during the final match of the Jharkhand Premier League T20 cricket tournament at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) International Stadium in Dhurwa. Eyewitnesses reported that the crowd surged sharply at the West Gate just before the match began due to slow entry procedures and security check delays. The pressure from the spectators led to chaos and pushing near the gate.

Three injured spectators, including a young man and two young women, were taken to Raj Hospital in Ranchi for treatment. As frustration among attendees grew over disorder and entry delays, some tried to breach the security cordon, resulting in damage to parts of the West Gate and barricading. Police and administrative officials intervened to control the situation, bringing in additional security forces to restore order.

An inquiry is underway to determine the causes of the incident, with tightened security measures implemented at the stadium. The episode has highlighted concerns about crowd management and security protocols at major public events, especially during high-profile finals.
