A player auction for the Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 in Bengaluru on June 5 will feature renowned cricketers like Karun Nair, Mayank Agarwal, and Manish Pandey. Six franchises will participate with a full purse of INR 60 lakh each, selecting from over 150 players to build squads of 16 to 18 members, including two Catchment Area Players.
Players are categorized into five pools with varying base prices. Franchises must acquire a minimum of 12 players from Pools A, B, and C combined. Pool A includes top cricketers like Vyshak Vijaykumar and Yashraj Punja, while Pool B features young talents who have represented Karnataka’s senior state side. Pool C comprises players under 30 who have represented Karnataka at the Junior level.
Franchises can only field two players aged 30-35 from Pool D in their playing XI. Additionally, they must select two players from their catchment areas. Teams can retain up to four players from their 2026 squad for the next season, subject to eligibility and registration requirements.
