State-owned oil marketing companies have recently reduced the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders in various major cities. This move brings relief to restaurants, hotels, and other commercial establishments reliant on LPG for cooking. The price cuts, effective from July 1, amount to up to Rs 183.5 across different cities.
The revised price list shows significant reductions in various locations. For instance, in Delhi and Lucknow, the price has been slashed by Rs 183.5, while in Chandigarh, it is down by Rs 181.5. Similarly, Kolkata and Patna have witnessed cuts of Rs 174 and Rs 173, respectively.
Following these adjustments, the cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 2,930, a notable decrease from the previous Rs 3,113. In Chandigarh, consumers will now pay Rs 2,954.50, and in Patna, the price has been set at Rs 3,227. Kolkata also sees a reduction to Rs 3,081.50 from the earlier Rs 3,255.50.
The decision to lower prices comes in the wake of multiple price hikes for commercial LPG due to escalating global energy prices driven by conflicts in West Asia. Notably, while the commercial LPG rates have been adjusted, the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged.
