A teacher at a homeopathy college in Kalaburagi, Karnataka, was reportedly attacked by a student for stopping him from cheating during an internal exam. The student, identified as Shahbaz, was caught using a mobile phone to cheat during the Homoeopathic Materia Medica exam. Assistant Professor Shivaraj Kumar intervened and confiscated the student’s answer sheet, leading to the assault.

The college administration has informed the student’s parents about the incident and decided to bar him from future exams. However, no formal complaint has been lodged by either the college or the assaulted professor. The police have stated that legal action will be taken if a complaint is filed. Further details on the matter are awaited.

In a separate incident on October 29, 2025, a man named Bhavith was arrested by Chikkamagaluru police in Karnataka for brutally assaulting a schoolteacher. The teacher, aged 25, was attacked on her way home from work. Another incident on September 13, 2025, involved an auto driver named Chowdappa who allegedly assaulted a government school teacher in Kolar’s Malur taluk.
