Following Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led students’ agitation considers it a victory for democracy. The CJP hailed the resignation as a win for democracy, with protesters celebrating the development. Abhijeet Dipke, the outfit’s founder, expressed satisfaction over Pradhan’s resignation, emphasizing the power of the people in holding the government accountable.

Displaying a banner honoring students who tragically took their lives after the NEET-UG paper leak, Dipke dedicated the victory to them. He stressed that the resignation proves that people, when united, can demand accountability from the government. Dipke outlined two additional demands, seeking compensation for families of deceased students and action against police involved in a recent protest crackdown.

While acknowledging Pradhan’s resignation, Dipke emphasized the need for further action, including compensation for affected families and accountability for police actions. He warned against underestimating the power of collective voices and demanded the withdrawal of cases against protesting students. Dipke highlighted the importance of democracy and public accountability in shaping a just society.
