Students in the Musallahpur Haat area of Patna expressed worry about their studies following an incident of vandalism and gunfire at Khan Sir’s coaching institution. The clash, which involved stone-pelting and allegations of gunfire, caused tension in the area. The incident raised concerns among students that it might impact their exam preparations.
The confrontation on Tuesday night reportedly involved students and supporters linked to Khan Sir’s coaching institute and Gyan Bindu Coaching Centre. Mayank Yadav, a student, emphasized the importance of safeguarding educational institutions, stating that such attacks tarnish Bihar’s reputation. He called for strict action against the perpetrators to ensure uninterrupted exam preparations.
Ajay Kumar, another student, recounted hearing a loud sound resembling a gunshot around the time of the incident. He highlighted the disruption caused by the attack on the coaching center, expressing disappointment over the violence. The clash, stemming from a dispute between students of the two institutes, led to a significant disturbance in the educational hub, with groups hurling stones at each other.
Security measures were heightened following the incident, with police officials, including Patna Senior Superintendent of Police Kartikeya K. Sharma, intervening to restore order. Both coaching institutes have lodged complaints, with allegations of gunfire exchanged between the parties. Investigations are ongoing to determine the veracity of these claims based on evidence and witness testimonies.
