Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have brought in RS Ambrish to replace Shivam Mavi for the rest of IPL 2026 due to Mavi’s groin injury. Ambrish, a right-arm medium pacer and left-handed batter, will join SRH for INR 30 Lakh, as confirmed by the IPL.
RS Ambrish, hailing from Chennai, played a significant role in India’s recent ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup victory by emerging as one of the top performers with 11 wickets. His dual ability with both bat and ball has positioned him as a promising talent in Indian cricket.
In the past, Sunrisers Hyderabad enlisted Gerald Coetzee and Dilshan Madushanka as replacements to bolster their pace attack. Coetzee, a South African pacer, filled in for David Payne, while Madushanka, a Sri Lankan left-arm quick, joined after Brydon Carse’s injury.
Currently, the 2016 IPL champions are enjoying a five-match winning streak, securing the third spot on the points table. Their upcoming match will be against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, led by Pat Cummins.
