After assuming the role of Chief Minister of West Bengal, Suvendu Adhikari is set to visit Nabanna for the first time on Monday. He will convene an administrative meeting at the state secretariat’s meeting hall at 12 noon. Howrah and Kolkata Police are enhancing security around Nabanna in preparation for his visit.
Government officials mentioned that security measures for both the meeting hall and the Nabanna perimeter are under review. Kolkata Police Commissioner Ajay Nand and Howrah City Police Commissioner Akhilesh Chaturvedi, accompanied by senior police officers, inspected the premises. The security arrangements for Chief Minister Suvendu at Nabanna and the meeting hall were scrutinized.
On Monday, Suvendu Adhikari will engage in discussions with top state administration officials. Apart from the administrative review, he is scheduled for additional meetings, including one with District Magistrates in the afternoon. Later, he will meet with senior state police officials, including the Director General of state police and the Kolkata Police Commissioner.
Following his swearing-in as Chief Minister, Suvendu Adhikari met with the state’s Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, and DGP. The meeting, held at the Public Works Department tent in Esplanade, involved a comprehensive review of the state’s situation. Five more ministers were sworn in alongside Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday, with the remaining Cabinet members expected to take oath on Monday.
Governor RN Ravi is anticipated to administer the oath to the new cabinet members at Lok Bhavan on Monday, revealing their designated portfolios.
