Tamil Nadu BJP criticized Chief Minister M.K. Stalin for his comments against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his stance on the 33% reservation for women in legislatures. The BJP spokesperson accused Stalin of making “anti-Constitutional” remarks and jeopardizing national unity.

The BJP representative demanded that Stalin retract his statements, which were perceived as threatening. He criticized the Chief Minister for potentially disrupting the implementation of the women’s reservation policy and accused him of reviving separatist ideologies.

Stating that Stalin’s opposition to certain processes could hinder the reservation’s enforcement, the BJP emphasized the significance of empowering women through the reservation policy. The party also defended the Centre’s commitment to safeguard Tamil Nadu’s interests during the delimitation exercise.
