Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay revealed a nine-member Cabinet after being sworn in. The Cabinet represents a mix of political veterans, bureaucrats, professionals, and young leaders. This diverse composition aims to blend experience with fresh perspectives following the party’s victory in the Assembly elections.

Among the Cabinet members is veteran politician K.A. Sengottaiyan, known for his five-decade political career. Sengottaiyan, a 10-time legislator, has held significant portfolios in the past, including Revenue and School Education. He is one of the most experienced Ministers in the new government.

Another notable figure in the Cabinet is N. Anand, also known as “Bussy” Anand, a close political associate of Chief Minister Vijay. Anand has been instrumental in building the party’s grassroots structure and has a history of civic initiatives. He previously served as an MLA in Puducherry.

Aadhav Arjuna, a key strategist for the party, is also part of the Cabinet. Arjuna, a former basketball player, has played a crucial role in expanding the party’s network across Tamil Nadu. He is recognized for his strategic acumen and organizational skills.

The Cabinet also includes S. Keerthana, the first woman MLA from Sivakasi. Keerthana, a former political consultant, brings a fresh perspective to governance. Her appointment signals a focus on youth and women’s representation in the government.

K.G. Arunraj, a former IRS officer and doctor, resigned from government service to join politics under Chief Minister Vijay’s leadership. Arunraj, who served as the party’s General Secretary for policy and propaganda, won his seat with a significant margin.

R. Nirmal Kumar, responsible for the party’s IT and social media operations, has been appointed as a Minister for his role in digital outreach and post-election negotiations. Kumar, a former BJP member, joined the party in 2025.

Actor and director A. Rajmohan, a prominent figure in the party, was inducted into the Cabinet after winning from Egmore constituency. P. Venkataramanan, the party’s treasurer, and K.T. Prabhu, a dentist-turned-politician, complete the diverse Cabinet lineup.

The composition of Chief Minister Vijay’s Cabinet reflects inclusivity, administrative competence, and a generational shift as he embarks on his first term in office.
