Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay visited the renowned Kollur Mookambika Temple in Karnataka’s Udupi district. During his visit, he donated a 1.6-kilogram silver sword to the temple and offered prayers dressed in traditional attire. Vijay’s visit lasted around 20 minutes, where he greeted supporters and received a warm welcome.

Security was tightened in and around the temple premises for Vijay’s visit, with police managing the large crowd of devotees and fans. Karnataka Police enhanced security arrangements, temporarily restricting devotee entry until the Chief Minister completed his prayers. Vijay, who has Z+ security cover, is known for opposing the Mekedatu project.

Vijay’s visit to the temple town of Kollur was met with anticipation from his fans in Karnataka. He arrived in Mangaluru from Delhi on a special flight and traveled to Kollur by road. The Kollur Mookambika Temple is a significant Hindu pilgrimage center in Karnataka, attracting devotees seeking blessings from the Goddess.
